Results of the Vote On VCC

A vote was held on March 10 GMM to determine whether or not to submit a bid for VCC. There were 347 valid votes cast (including the advance votes). A 75% plus one majority was sought, which required 262 YES votes. The result was 211 YES votes (61%), which was less than the majority sought. The vote to submit a bid for VCC did not pass.

We have informed the District of our decision not to pursue VCC. We thank God for clarity on this matter, and the provision of the 199 St. site. We thank everybody for the prayer and deep effort that went into seeking God in unity on this matter.

What can we do now? The leaders will review the responses from the members and will continue our building process on the 199 St. site.

Mutual Respect, and Healing — In light of March 10's vote we recognize and appreciate that while many might agree with the decision, we also acknowledge that many others may not have agreed. Therefore our Pastoral Team is one in spirit in calling all our people to seek unity, mutual respect and healing among our flock.
